The Mobile CSP project gathers lots of data from teachers and students. Here are some snapshots of data received from 24 teachers who taught the course during the 2014-15 school year. The teachers were asked to respond to the following question:
To what extent do you think the following things have happened in your Mobile CSP course this year?
and given the choices of:
- Generally true
- Somewhat true
- Not very true
- Not at all true
Here are the results we received.
- Students were highly engaged? All 24 teachers reported that statement as generally or somewhat true. None reported that it was untrue.
- Students are interested in Computer Science degrees. Twenty out of 24 teachers reported that statement as generally or somewhat true.
- Students have learned important skills. All 24 teachers agreed that that statement was generally or somewhat true. None disagreed.
- My students will have opportunities to apply their CS skills in the future. Twenty-three out of 24 teachers agreed that that statement was generally or somewhat true.
