What | Mobile CSP Orientation

Participating master teachers will be required to attend orientation. Other master teachers from all over the United States and the Mobile CSP Team will also be attending the orientation meeting.

Why | Purpose of the Mobile CSP Orientation

The purpose of this orientation is to ensure that master teachers have an opportunity to be successful in their position throughout the duration of the grant. This orientation event is aimed to help those in these roles learn how to provide support, how to facilitate meetings, how to improve participation, how to meet program expectations, and many more useful tactics they will utilize during the project.

When | Timeline

The Mobile CSP Orientation will begin in the morning on Saturday, April 22, 2017 and end in the early afternoon on Sunday April 23, 2017. Master Teachers should arrive the evening of Friday, April 21, 2017 and depart Sunday, April 23, 2017 after 1:00 PM CT. Click here to see the detailed agenda.


Travel Logistics

The Mobile CSP project will pay for the travel expenses (airfare and transportation from airport to InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront) as well as food and lodging expenses of participants while attending the orientation. Please see the table below for further information on what expenses are reimbursable and what expenses are paid upfront by Mobile CSP.

Instructions for how to book travel and lodging as well as receive reimbursement are provided step-by-step below the table. All travel and lodging needs to be booked by April 15, 2017.

* All blue items are reimbursable by the grant at a later date; all red items are paid directly by the grant in advance.

How | Instructions to Book Travel/Lodging and Submitting Reimbursement

  1. Step One: Complete the Master Teacher Information Form

    All teachers who have been selected to participate as a Master Teacher for the 2017-2018 academic year will need to complete the Master Teacher Information form.

  2. Step Two: Reserve Your Airfare

    Arrival Date and Time: Friday April 21, 2017 Afternoon or Evening

    Departing Date and Time: Sunday April 23, 2017 After 1:00 PM CT

    • Participants will need to pay for their own airfare upfront and be reimbursed for the cost. Once you have booked your flight to MSP, please keep your ticket payment confirmation and/or receipts.
    • If you are having difficulties covering the upfront airfare cost please contact the Mobile CSP Team. We understand that situations can arise and will be happy to help in anyway that we can.
  3. Step Three: Understanding Taxi/Shuttle Services

    Mobile CSP will reimburse you for transportation from the airport to the hotel and vice versa (arriving and departing costs). Any additional travel cost throughout the duration of the orientation session will be the responsibility of the individual participants. Please keep your receipts from your arriving and departing taxi/shuttle.

  4. Step Four: Hotel Reservations

  5. Hotel lodging expenses will be covered AND booked by Mobile CSP. A reservation for these two nights (Friday and Saturday) will be made for you automatically after you have completed the Master Teacher Information form (Step One).
    *** Any additional fees outside of the room lodging cost such as incidentals or room charges will be the responsibility of the individual participating coordinator, mentor, master teacher and/or facilitator.

  6. Step Five: Food and Refreshments

    During the orientation session, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided. If you decide not to join us for dinner on either of the evenings, please keep your receipt so we may reimburse you at a later date. While we are more than happy to have you eat dinner with us, we also encourage you to use this opportunity to explore the city.
    *** Mobile CSP will not reimburse any participant for any alcohol purchases. We will reimburse up to and no more than $100.00 for both Friday and Saturday nights’ (combined dinner total).

  7. Step Six: Reimbursement (after the orientation)

    Be sure to keep your receipts for the items indicated in blue above (airfare, taxi/shuttle services, dinner). We cannot reimburse you without your receipts.
