Each student presenter must register in order to receive lunch and Mobile CSP swag

At the expo, selected students will have the opportunity to show their mobile app creations. This expo is exclusively for students that are currently enrolled in the Mobile CSP course and those who completed the Mobile CSP course during the Fall 2016 semester.  Students are asked to submit one mobile app, per pair, into the expo. The submitted app should be an original creation developed with MIT’s App Inventor for Android and submitted as their Create #2 performance task for their Mobile CSP class.

In addition, each pair will need to bring with them at least one Android smartphone or tablet that has their app installed on it. Students can also bring a laptop, but a laptop is not mandatory. Optionally, students may also prepare a poster board with information about their mobile app.

We’ll ask attendees to vote for the People’s Choice Award/Favorite App with some cool prizes and/or certificates to be awarded at the conclusion of the event.

Register Now: Each pair needs to submit a URL to a document that, at a minimum, includes the following: name of the their app, an abstract/short summary (max 150 words) and their app’s logo. Additional information can be included, but is not required. Each student presenter must register in order to receive lunch and Mobile CSP swag.

Mobile CSP teachers, please make sure you have talked with your administrator about transportation to Trinity College for the students you select to enter the expo. Unfortunately, we cannot have everyone from every class attend due to limited space–but I hope we can get a good representation of schools. In addition, please make sure that field trip forms are sent out and returned in a timely manner.

The event is free and open to the public. Teachers and students are encouraged to invite family and friends.

Thank you,

Pauline
